TOVA mozard
performance lecture

Since emerging as a visual artist and filmmaker, Tova Mozard has built a practice that bridges art and cinema through the boundaries of image, performance, and narrative.

Mozard’s work, from video experiments like The Mismade Girl to her forthcoming cinematic self-portrait Graceland, interrogates the frame itself. She plays with symbolism and identity, illustrating freedom in cinematic form.

Her work often walks the line between fiction and documentary, having created ILOVERUSS, drawing on 20 years of footage chronicling Russ Kingston’s life as a Hollywood extra and her evolving relationship with him.

In her installations and films, Mozard merges art, performance, and cinema: the image becomes a space for identity, memory, and presence, where the camera is both subject and mirror.

Film excerpts will be shown from works such as Psychic, The Big Scene, Graceland, ILOVERUSS, and Leona Babette, alongside selected photographs. Expect a rare look into the tension between image and story.

NOVEMBER 10
15:00–16:45

RSVP

In collaboration with The Swedish Film Institute, Stockholm Industry, and SVT, The Long Fix invites you to a conversation about what happens when we move beyond quick solutions — and instead make space for the slow, the resistant, and the work that truly moves things forward.

Director Lars Vega, 2016 nominee 1 KM FILM Award and whose Moving Sweden film Arne Goes to Space premieres early next year, will share how unexpected turns and detours have shaped his creative process — enriching both his craft and his projects.

The session also offers an exclusive first look at last year’s Wild Card winning projects, as Olga Krüssenberg and Balder Ljunggren present clips and early sketches.

The day concludes with the announcement of this year’s Wild Card winners, followed by an award ceremony and networking reception.
