The Future of Swedish Film

1 KM FILM is Sweden’s leading pitch competition for shorts. Emerging national directors from all over the country take center stage at Stockholm Industry Days, to present their next project and show an audience of industry professionals where Swedish film is heading. 

Nominated directors are in competition for 1 KM FILM AWARD, with a total prize of 400,000 SEK going towards the creation of the pitched project. A complimentary industry accreditation is also provided to each nominee, and their previous short film will be screened during Stockholm International Film Festival to highlight the filmmakers.  

1 KM FILM AWARD consists of economical, technical and competence support presented in collaboration with the Swedish Film Institute, Film Stockholm, Storyline Studios, Tint, Ponytail, Scen & Film and Fyra K Media.
